Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has reportedly been involved in a car accident with his newly acquired Mercedez Benz.
Images circulating on social media show the vehicle involved in the accident in a ditch, and in a pretty damaged state.
The Shatta Movement boss escaped the crash unharmed as he was actively spotted at the scene when police arrived to ascertain the severity of the crash.
Details about the accident remain scanty, although reports say Wale’s car was mangled in the aftermath.
The accident which occurred on Monday, August 5 comes a few months after Shatta Wale acquired the Mercedez Benz in 2018 to mark his 34th birthday on October 17.
This was shortly after the successful launch concert for ‘The Reign’ album. He opted to register the car with a customised number plate which read ‘ADVICE-1-18’.
Taking to Twitter to share photos of the car he tweeted: “Advice well taken..Mercedes Benz no Dey talk.”
Shatta’s post was a conspicuous response to Sarkodie’s diss song titled ‘My Advice’ which he released cautioning the dancehall artiste to be wary of his unguarded comments about other musicians in the country.
The Reign album launch concert reportedly recorded attendance of over 20,000 patrons at the Fantasy Dome.
